Availa Bank Welcomes New EVP, Commercial Banking

Joel Falk joins the team in the Omaha loan production office

 Omaha, Nebraska (October 24, 2023) – Availa Bank is pleased to announce the hiring of Joel Falk as Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking at the Omaha loan production office. Falk’s main responsibilities will be overseeing and guiding Availa Bank’s commercial banking strategies. He will also be responsible for local commercial business development and relationship management in the Omaha metro area.

 Falk earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration and economics from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and later earned his MBA from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, a graduate of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce Leadership Omaha program, and he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Falk is actively involved in the community as a current board member and executive committee member for the Business Ethics Alliance of Omaha. Additionally, Joel is a current board member for Humanities Nebraska and is a current member of the United Way of the Midlands finance committee. Falk is a past board member, executive committee member and treasurer for the United Way of the Midlands and is a former board member of the Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation. Additionally, he spent time on the boards of the March of Dimes, the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, and the Nebraska Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Society. He is a past board member and chair of the local chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Falk and his wife, Stacey, have lived in Omaha for nearly 30 years and have two daughters.
