Here For Our Youth —

AVAILA Kares

In July of 2018, Availa Bank was approached to be a major funding partner by the Financial Literacy Council of Greater Hamilton County (FLCGHC) for a new initiative impacting Hamilton County youth. The request was to provide assistance and funding for 529 College Savings Plans to help the students of Hamilton County further their education upon graduation from high school. The Board and leadership of Availa Bank offered unanimous support for the plan and chose to provide funding through the Availa Foundation.

The FLCGHC and Availa Foundation decided to name the program Availa Kares. The name Availa Kares and the unusual spelling of the word care were selected to reflect the focus of the project: to help kids. We continue to be a proud sponsor of the Financial Literacy Council of Greater Hamilton County’s College Savings Program to help the students of Hamilton County further their education.

The Availa Foundation is a wholly-owned affiliate of Availa Bank. The Foundation’s goal is to support the various local causes in the communities that the bank serves. Over the years, the Availa Foundation has contributed over 3 million dollars to local worthwhile causes. It is with great pride that Availa Bank serves not only as a community bank but as a source of strength and support for communities. The board and staff at Availa Bank believe strongly in the Foundation’s goal, which is reflected in their donations of time and money to the communities in which they live and work.
