Availa Bank Expands Offerings in Story County
Nevada, Iowa (Oct. 28, 2020) - Availa Bank branches in Ames and Nevada recently expanded their banking options and their team to meet the needs of the communities in Story County.
Adding Interactive Teller Machines (ITM) to many branch locations, including Ames and coming soon to Nevada, customers can now work with an Availa Bank associate, via the machine, from their vehicle. Not only does this machine allow you to talk to an Availa associate through a live video stream, but it can also function as an ATM 24/7. A customer can cash checks to the cent, make loan payments, transfer funds, and more without having to step inside the bank.
Staff members are incredibly excited about this change. "The ITMs are great for customers who need an associate or need to complete a more complex transaction but would prefer to remain in their car, whether to social distance or for convenience," said Kevin Geis, the newly hired Availa Bank Ames Market President and Eastern Region Manager. "The ITms also extend the hours a customer is able to get assistance from the Availa Bank staff."
You can speak to an Availa employee via the ITM from Monday-Friday 7 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 12 PM. The ATM will continue to work 24/7.
Earlier this month, Availa Bank also joined the Money Pass network of ATMs, making surcharge-free ATM access available to customers in more locations around the country. Availa Bank offers 27 ATMs across the state and with access to Money Pass ATMs, customers can bank surcharge-free from more than 32,000 ATMs available nationwide.
"We continue to find new and improved ways to meet the needs of our communities," said Sharon Johnson, Nevada Market President and Retail Banking Officer. "Whether that's through extended hours, experienced members of our team or new technology such as our ITMs and mobile app, we strive to make banking easy for our customers, wherever they are."
