Availa Bank Receives Honorable Mention in 2023 Community Commitment Awards

Availa Bank’s financial education program gets attention from the American Bankers Association Foundation awards.

 Carroll, Iowa (December 11, 2023) – Availa Bank is proud to be recognized by the American Bankers Association (ABA) Foundation for their financial education outreach program. The bank recently received an honorable mention as part of the ABA Foundation’s 2023 Community Commitment awards in the Financial Education category.

The Community Commitment awards are put on each year by the ABA to recognize financial institutions that have gone above and beyond in giving back to the community in the categories of Affordable Housing, Community and Economic Development, Financial Education, Economic Inclusion, Protecting Older Americans, Supporting Military Families, and Volunteerism.

Entries are judged by experts in their respective entry fields. They must address the needs of the community, the institution’s role and involvement, program uniqueness and creativity, sustainability, program results, and community partnerships. The ABA bestows only winner or honorable mention honors to the award winners of each category. The American Bankers Association had 115 entries in the Community Commitment Awards for 2023.
