Availa Bank Welcomes Two New Board Members
Appointees Bring New Perspectives, Experience to Availa Bank Board.
Carroll, Iowa (May 22, 2025) – Availa Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors. Torrey Wingert and Ben Frein were unanimously approved by the Board at their April meeting. Both men have years of business and finance experience.
Wingert is the current CEO of Bomgaars Supply Inc., a position he has held since September 2019. Prior to that, he was the company’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for 17 years. During his tenure with the company, he has been actively involved in helping the Bomgaars organization grow to its present footprint of 180 stores in 15 states. He is a 1997 graduate of Briar Cliff College with a degree in accounting and finance. Wingert is a Sioux City native and is an active member of the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Frein is an entrepreneur based out of Urbandale. He started a small search engine optimization business while attending the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). After having success with this venture, Frein eventually sold the company to another e-retailer and began reinvesting the proceeds into different investments. Over the last 10 years, he has constructed and sold self-storage facilities, purchased commercial real estate properties, and invested in the construction of residential homes. Frein is active in the community and currently volunteers with the entrepreneur program at UNI.
