Jeff Kluver Retires from Webster City, Jewell Branches
Webster City, Iowa (July 16, 2021) – Availa Bank in Webster City announces the retirement of Jeff Kluver, Vice President Mortgage Loan Officer.
Jeff started his career in banking with Availa back in 1978, when the bank was still known as Carroll County State Bank. He was in college at the time studying to be a high school business teacher and he enjoyed the experience so much that he switched his major to Finance.
After that summer, Jeff worked at several different banks over the years as a Teller, Manager, Relationship Manager, and in his latest role as a Vice President Mortgage Loan Officer. Jeff rejoined the Availa Bank family in 2017. He says his most important role throughout his career has been as a Relationship Manager.
“As a bank, we need to develop and maintain customer relationships. A career in banking is broad and varied, focusing on offering a high level of customer service to those needing financial services. I enjoyed working with all customers, whether they needed a student loan, consumer loan, or were financing their first home,” he says.
Banking has also given Jeff some unexpected benefits over the years, such as the opportunity to meet his wife Becky through a mortgage loan application. They will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this August.
Jeff has many passions he would like to pursue in retirement, particularly real estate. He is incredibly grateful for his time at Availa. “My last four years at Availa Bank in Webster City, Jewell, and Roland have been a privilege. Wonderful people and a wonderful organization!”
Webster City Market President and Senior Loan Officer Scott Bargfrede wishes Jeff well in his future endeavors. “I want to thank Jeff for his tremendous contribution to Availa Bank over the years. His work ethic, knowledge, and professionalism will be greatly missed. Jeff was a great ambassador of Availa Bank with his community involvement through service clubs and the many committees he’s served on. We at Availa Bank wish Jeff a great retirement.”
