Nevada Market President Sharon Johnson Set to Retire

After 44 years in banking, Sharon Johnson is retiring as Nevada Market President at Availa Bank.

Sharon started her career in banking as a bookkeeper/teller and has held several different positions throughout the years, including Compliance Officer, HR Manager, Cashier, and most recently, Market President.

Sharon has been part of the Availa Bank team for 14 years and says the best part of her career has been the customers. “Every day is different, and each customer’s needs are different,” she says.

In retirement, Sharon hopes to help her family with farm operations and spend time outside cycling, walking, and hiking with her dogs. She is looking forward to having a more flexible schedule to attend grandchildren’s activities and doing more sewing and quilting.
